This workshop, led by industry expert Rucha Pathak, is designed for aspiring writers and filmmakers to develop the essential skills of crafting and delivering successful pitches. Participants will learn how to tailor their pitches to various industry platforms, refine their delivery, and practice presenting confidently to producers, production houses, and OTT platforms.

Day 1: Crafting a Compelling Pitch

• Duration: 2 hours
• Objectives:
  – Understand the core elements of a successful pitch.
  – Learn how to craft a pitch for different industry platforms (producers, production houses, OTT).
  – Develop the skills to present your idea concisely and engagingly.
• Session Breakdown:
  – Introduction to Pitching (30 mins): Overview of what makes a pitch effective and the key components (hook, storyline, USP).
  – Industry Landscape (20 mins): Insights into what producers, OTT platforms, and production houses seek in a pitch.
  – Types of Pitches (30 mins): Understanding elevator pitches, teaser pitches, and concept pitches, and knowing when to use each.
  – Crafting Your Pitch (20 mins): Interactive exercise to create a pitch, focusing on highlighting unique selling points and creating an engaging narrative.
  – Q&A with Rucha Pathak (20 mins): Open floor for questions on pitch crafting, personalizing your pitch, and adapting for different platforms.

Day 2: Pitching with Confidence

• Duration: 2 hours
• Objectives:
  – Practice delivering a concise, 2-3 minute pitch.
  – Receive feedback on pitch structure, delivery, and impact.
  – Learn tips on handling nerves and mastering pitch delivery.
• Session Breakdown:
  – Pitch Practice & Feedback (60 mins): Participants present their 2-3 minute pitch, receiving constructive feedback from Rucha Pathak.
  – Q&A on Pitching Techniques (30 mins): Discussion on refining delivery, managing nerves, and answering questions from industry professionals.
  – Final Tips & Open Discussion (30 mins): Closing session offering additional insights into the pitching process, industry expectations, and handling post-pitch follow-ups.

Outcome:
